This is a statue of Jesus being flown via helicopter; taken from Fellini’s “La Dolce Vita.”

What has modern American cinema done for YOU lately? Certainly not this.

I know I’m super behind on this crap. It’s like the second week of January. Whatever.

Anyway, this is the sticker that I convinced the lady at JFK to put on my luggage because I was transporting an Xbox 360. And she did it.

I just think its kind of worded in a funny way - almost like they’re talking about the human heart…

365 Photo Challenge 2011: 01 02 11
This photo was taken at 0700 hours from the street that I grew up on. I’m a very sentimental person when it comes to homes and family and whatnot, and this is the last day I will see my mother and brother for an indefinite period of time. I mean, it isn’t like I’ll never see them again but with everyone’s health rapidly deteriorating and the future always so unsure, it’s important to cherish the things that make you really happy.
Walking around in snowboots and a trench coat at 7 am while chain smoking  apparently makes me happy. The morning fog had just set in, giving the photo a hazy look, as the picture is totally unedited. It’s ironic that the light is actually captured in the picture, as that particular light is notorious for not working, but now that I re-examine the picture again, it kind of looks like the sun. But it isn’t, rest assured. The snow is heavier in my area than it appears in the photo, it ranges anywhere from 5 to 8 inches on the ground, but a combination of possible rain, snow plows and human traffic made the snow very mushy.
I think snow is one of the most beautiful things in the world and I love to see it in it’s purest form, so the mushy snow kind of disgusts me. I feel like when it snows, the corruptions of the mind and the sins of the heart can just be let go, and one can really synchronise with nature.
That… and everyone loves a snow day :D

These are some of the accessories I wore during the New Year’s Eve party I went to last night. The black lace cuffs are a recent acquisition from Hot Topic (of all places. In my defense, they were half off.) They are easily one of my new favourite accessory; edgy but feminine.
The pearls are a bit more sentimental to me; as pearls are one of my favourite precious stones. The necklace I had gotten them two years ago in a jewellery trade and the pearl bracelet is from my ex-boyfriend. The gold noise maker is self explanatory. They matched my stilettos :D All in all, it was a very fun (albeit very drunken) way to ring in the new year. I watched the ball drop from Times Square on television and it’s comforting to have the knowledge that I was in Times Square a little under a week ago.
